Description: There's a very high multiple Arch in Palmyra. It's at the end of the main street, closest to the Temple of Baal, and do doubt seeing a caravan from Asia enter through it must have thrilled Palmyrans. The images here will show that it's quite amazing that after all this time the arches are still standing. The large arches were for camels to travel through while the smaller arches were for pedestrians, but all are very tall and ornate.
