Richard I "The Lion-Heart"

Description: Two lion sculptures above an entrance into the moat are said to represent the English Crusader, Richard I, nicknamed "The Lion-Heart." The two sculptures have not fared well over time and are now headless. They are located at the southern exit from the vaulted ramp into the moat (by the reservoir and the arab baths).
